Rachael Jumonville lives in Lakewood, CO with her husband, Jason, her son, Lane, and daughters Wren and Isla. They moved to Colorado at the end of 2017 from Port-au-Prince, Haiti after almost 4 years there. Through their time in Haiti, their understanding of the needs for empowerment and education both broadened and deepened. They are humbled at this opportunity to share in lifting up and empowering others through education.

Before moving to Haiti, Rachael worked in a cardiology clinic for 5 years and experienced close-up how nutrition can effect one’s health- for better or worse. This inspired her to pursue further education in nutrition. While living in Haiti, Rachael finished her Masters of Science in Nutrition through Texas Woman’s University, and she began looking for ways to serve this country she had come to love. Through nutrition seminars and conversations with those already in the medical field, she witnessed a huge need in the area of nutrition education among all demographics in Haiti. Rachael has learned through her work and time here how complex and beautiful people are and that care for them should be intentional and integrative.
